Lunar New Year Presentation

February, 2019

The fourth grade had the opportunity to learn about the Lunar New Year from our student San, and his mom.  A big thank you to them for sharing with us the customs, traditions, and activities that are a part of their lives. We all learned so much!

Spirit Day - Catholic Schools Week

During Catholic Schools week the intermediate students participated in Spirit Day.  They dressed in their IHC blue and white and teamed up to compete in relay races, a tug-of-war, and volleyball against the teachers.  Everyone had a blast!

Congratulations Mrs. Connolly

November, 2019

Best wishes for a wonderful retirement to Mrs. Connolly after working 40 years in our Catholic School.  She was both a teacher, and later in her career, an administrator.  The students presented her with a cross made of individually painted sticks, which was then assembled by our art teacher, Mrs, Chamberlain.

Ag Extravaganza

September, 2019

In September, the IHC 4th graders visited the pavilion at Thompson Park for the Ag Extravaganza.  They visited several stations to find out more about our state’s largest industry; agriculture.  Students learned about poultry, dairy and beef cows, maple syrup production, farm equipment safety and more.

Peace Poetry Contest

Congratulations to the 4th grade students whose poems were chosen to be included in the annual Peace Calendar.  The peace poetry contest was sponsered by SUNY Potsdam and the students whose poems were selected had the opportunity to travel to the Potsdam College campus to read their poems to an audience.

Catholic Schools Week

IHC students enjoyed all the activities we partcipated in to celebrate Catholic Schools Week.  The highlight of the week was Spirit Day where the students showed their Cavalier pride by helping the blue team and white team achieve victories in many games and races.

Christmas Celebration

Thanks for much to all parents who helped to make our classroom Christmas party enjoyable!  We had so many great snacks and some excellent games that got us all in the Christmas spirit!

Stockings for Seniors

The fourth graders recently completed a community service project where they created about 200 Christmas cards that will be included in the "Stockings for Seniors" program sponsored by the Watertown Downtown Business Association.  The beautiful cards will be included in stockings along with other donated items and will most certainly help to spread the joy of the Christmas season and bring smiles to the faces of many of our area's senior citizens
